Vanity Fair Mocks the Now Infamous New Yorker Cover (hilarious)

It is what it is.

Damn those terrorist fist jabs.

What's this?
Who's leading the conversation?
This visualization below allows you to see the impact that each user has on the current conversation. The top row contains the group of users who have had the most impact, the 2nd row the group of users who have had the 2nd most impact (et cetera). Users with similar impact are grouped together, and the average score of the group is shown to the left of the group. The author of the article is also shown on the left, in their corresponding group. Each user's score is based on the number of comments the user has made plus the number of votes their comments have received. The scores are calculated relative one another, so while their absolute value is not particularly important, their relative difference does indicate a larger difference in impact on the conversation.

I'm not usually a fan of Vanity Fair.

But then, I'm not usually a fan of the New Yorker, either.

This is an outrage! How could they get away with printing something like this? It's appalling, how dare they...

Hehe. And in this case, it is what it is.

But there is a difference between the Obama cover and the McCain cover:

The McCain cover is actually funny, because they associated KNOWN items about the characters they portrayed on the cover. The pills really happened. And McCain is getting along in years. So that makes it funny.

In the Obama cover, nothing was funny because there was no truth in it except the fist bump. The burning of the flag, the picture of Bin Laden, those are fabrications. Political humor must have a grain of truth somewhere in the background to be considered funny, otherwise it's just slander.

Good seed, Imdecent. (Yeah...I changed the 'n' to an 'm')
